Good afternoon everyone.. By the way.. I am in Malaysia doing this.. Lol.. Anyway.. Coming Monday the J1s will be going back to school once more.. Study cum revision for BLOCK TEST.. AHHH!!!
However, J1s are considered lucky.. eventhough J2s are gonna end school for the term soon.. 'A' levels are closing in on them.. Muahahahaha! But have no fearJ2s.. we J1s will be spiritually supporting through.. Jia YOu! Jia You! MUST Jia you!

One more thing: J1s will have to attend the guitar sessi9on this coming Monday.. please be there.. OR ELSE...

so sorry for the in-activeness of this blog.. i guess everyone's been struggling hard to get back on track with their studies since SYF has ended, and to caught up with other commitments to keep track of posts here.. i apologise on everyone's behalf..

speaking of SYF,
we, G.R.E.Y, have attained a 'Silver' award on the 19th of April 2007.
i think i can safely say that when we heard...
..."Yishun Junior College"... ... ... ..."Silver"... ...
... most of us were crestfallen, yes, it was sorrowful..

however, to the peepz of SYF team, i believe that what ms tan said is true. it is the PROCESS that holds more dear than the outcome. i really felt that the bonds we forged through the many months of hard work and determination can hold on to the end of eternity..

fret not, we will get over it.. i'm sure that our successors will do us proud in the next SYF!

we shall forever be known as the spontaneous, persevering G.R.E.Y TEAM SYF 2007!!!
We are a force to be reckoned with!!! :p

so, a final toast, to team syf 2007. may we be successful in the pursuit of our endeavors, and never cease to cherish this covenant which binds our trust and souls as one.

I would like to let people of the ensemble know the part about music being like education. Please help me tell them the following.

1) Continue to enjoy music and think more of enjoy when they play. In the first place, we learn music because we enjoy making music together.

2) At many instances, be it the practices or the actual performance, the ensemble touched my heart with their passion for achieving higher musical standards and their motivation to work hard for the judging.

3) When you people leave the school one day, please pass down the joy of music to the juniors, may they all enjoy the music as much as we did!

4) I'm proud of you people!

G.R.E.Y. SYF Team '07 FULL DRESS REHEARSAL

Hello everyone,

today will be the first and only full dress rehearsal. I know everyone is excited about the SYF and it can be shown in the pics that was taken just now (pls refer to gallery). We have only 5 days left. Please make good use of remaining days for intensive practices, and most importantly please take good care of your health.

Next Thursday (19/4/07) will be the important time for each of everyone of us. Please dont hold anything back from now onwards. Let's play the two pieces with our heart and soul. You need to enjoy the music to let the music blend with ur heart. Yup, dont forget to smile, people, watch on our facial expression.

Shout out to all the syf team members, please encourage each other!

J1 WELCOMING PARTY APRIL '07

A big family of YJC Guitar Ensemble (G.R.E.Y) cordially welcomes the new j1 members to be part of our family :)

I believe that everyone had an enjoyable time and had lots of fun during the welcoming party. We want to thank the J1s who had turned up and cooperated during the party. Hope that you will treat G.R.E.Y as part of your family and work together with us for the next two years. Thank you for choosing G.R.E.Y as your cca and do contribute to make this cca a better place for all of us :)) You are strongly encouraged to approach your seniors if you have any queries or just as simply as sharing session. Though the SYF team and the J1s have separate practice session, we hope to know you better too :D

We also want to thank our dearest teachers in charge, Ms Tan and Mr Seoh who made this event a happening one. With their countless supports and encouragement, we are always so motivated and enthusiatic to attend the cca.

To everyone who had been helping out with the party today, a big thank you to all of you. i believe this party has been yet another successful one :) let's work hard and concentrate towards the SYF now :D do take good care of your health too.

Heya people, sorry for the hibernating. The blog has been down due to technical problem.

Anyway, we have confirm our SYF Guitar on the 19th April 2007. We have less than 3 weeks to prepare from now to the BIG day. Let's put in our most effort to make it a success one. The other important upcoming event is the performance of our syf pieces on the 4th April in audi. All of us can feel the heat is on, moreover with our new conductor, Paul, who is very lively and patient, let's work together as an ensemble :))

We're also greatly welcomed our new JC1 members that are admitted to our CCAs. There will be a sharing session by Mr Yudi Kwok on the 28th March 2007.

Last Friday on the 23th March, 20 of us went for GENUS concert at NUS. It's a great experience for us to judge where we are now, also it's a platform for us to take the GENUS as our role model. They have the maturity, they know the pieces well, they look and sound grand. Yes, we can do it also if we have the right attitude :D

Tips for preparation for syf:
-constant self-practice at home, school, anywhere where it's possible
-attend the practices regularly and punctually
-approach the SLs if u have find difficulties in the pieces
-stay healthy
-have the enthu spirit stays on us
-never give up :))

Happy 3rd day of Chinese New year... Now that we all have had such a long break, it is time to go back to school... :( .. But what the hack... We are back to have more fun at our guitar practices... Reminder, we will be starting on the new song.. HARU GA KITA... But remember.. ANG BAOs don't just stop tomorrow.. Chinese New Year goes on for 15 days... So stay happy you all...
